Bankruptcies in Denmark by month

The series covers declared bankruptcies involving CVR numbers throughout Denmark, excluding the Faroe Islands and Greenland. Personal bankruptcies without a CVR number are excluded.

The source is StatBank table KONK3, the Total bankruptcies measure (001). The figures include both active and zero-activity businesses as defined by Statistics Denmark. A company's current CVR status is not used to date its bankruptcy.

The reference period follows Statistics Denmark's month for the bankruptcy declaration announced in Statstidende, the Danish Official Gazette. Bankruptcy petitions are a separate measure and are excluded from this series.

The figures are not seasonally adjusted. Holidays and the number of working days may affect comparisons with the previous month. A comparison with the same month a year earlier is therefore also provided.

The table contains the latest 24 consecutive, complete months published by Statistics Denmark. Before the next release, the most recent available month may be older than the latest complete calendar month. Missing observations are not replaced with zero.
