What is the Danish company register (CVR)?

CVR is short for Det Centrale Virksomhedsregister, the Central Business Register. It is Denmark's official register of companies and is kept by the Danish Business Authority (Erhvervsstyrelsen). Businesses operating in Denmark are registered here and receive an 8-digit CVR number that follows the company for life and is never reused.

The register is public. Name, address, industry, legal form, status, owners and management are open to everyone, and that data is what companydata.dk is built on. We pull changes from CVR every day and join them with the financial statements the companies have filed, so you get the whole picture on one page.
