Det er en betingelse for at opnå lån, at låntager er medlem af Låneforeningen. Der ydes lån til markedsrente, således at Låneforeningens udlån vil være konkurrencedygtige i forhold til alternativ bankfinansiering. Låneforeningen optager et lån i en bank/sparekasse og genudlåner beløbet til Virksomhederne. Renten på lånet er baseret på den opnåede lånerente i banken/sparekassen og tillagt en rentemarginal, som betaling for løbende omkostninger i relation til udlånet og driften af Låneforeningen. Rentemarginalen fastsættes af bestyrelsen. afgørelser er endelige. Låneforeningen kan udstede garantier i forbindelse med tredieparts udlån til en virksomhed eller i forbindelse med garantier for andre forpligtigelser som en Virksomhed har. En garanti stillet af Låneforeningen skal sidestilles med et udlån i alle henseender. Låneforeningen kan opkræve en garantiprovision, som fastsættes af bestyrelsen. Lån og garantier ydes på baggrund af ansøgning samt efterfølgendeundersøgelse af Virksomheden. Bestyrelsen behandler alle låneansøgninger og dennes afgørelser er endelige.
