Fondens formål er at afslutte forsøgsprojektet Fountain House i København den 31. oktober 1991 og derefter videreføre Fountain House i København. Fountain House er et aktivitetscenter, hvor brugerne er nødvendige, ventede og ønskede for den daglige drift og har ret til arbejde og samvær i Fountain House, samt til at deltage i den daglige demokratiske beslutningsproces. Fountain House arbejder for, at brugerne kommer ud på arbejdsmarkedet på lige fod med andre gennem overgangsarbejde/uddannelse. Fountain House tager udgangspunkt i et internationalt idégrundlag, jf. vedlagte bilag af marts 1990.
