Questions and answers about bankruptcies
What happens when a company goes bankrupt?
The bankruptcy court issues a bankruptcy decree and appoints a trustee who takes over the management of the company. The trustee sells the company's assets and distributes the proceeds to creditors in the order set by the Danish Bankruptcy Act. The decree is published in Statstidende, and the company's status in CVR becomes under bankruptcy until the estate is closed.
