DIN Forsyning har i de senere år arbejdet på at separatkloakere store dele af Hjerting. Men der mangler stadig en vigtig brik i arbejdet med at håndtere regnvandet og mindske antallet af røde flag ved overløb til Ho Bugt. Derfor skal der nu etableres et regnvandsbassin i Lystanlægget. Arbejdet forventes at forløbe fra medio oktober 2026 til marts 2027.
