The main objectives for ICRT are to promote the co-operation between ICRT members in respect of consumer research and testing of consumer goods, services and other consumer issues; to facilitate and assist joint comparative testing activities; to provide a forum for consumer organisations to discuss and exchange consumer information and to regulate the use of published material. The direct aims of ICRT Joint Testing and Research are to: · Increase the cost effectiveness of testing and research. · Develop common test programmes and evaluation methods. · To avoid publication of contradictory reports on the same product. · To provide a legal framework for joint testing with established rules and guidelines
